Residency and Education
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology holds education to be an integral part of our professional commitment as full time faculty. Each member of the faculty contributes to the wide variety of programs focused ultimately on improving the quality of patient care.

The Resident Training Program provides a 4 year experience involving a variety of intramural and extramural didactic programs. Direct supervision in the clinics and operating room, mentorship and emphasis on lifelong learning and ethical decision making are important responsibilities of the full and part time faculty.

Medical Students who rotate through the program receive excellent exposure to the fundamentals of an exam and management of important core ob-gyn conditions.

The Physician Programs provide important educational opportunities to the community and referring physicians. These are held throughout the year and attendees may receive CME credit. The format of the programs varies from grand rounds and case presentations, to more formal didactic presentations.
