The Patient Centered Medicine 4 Course is graded Pass/Fail. Any failure to complete all required assignments by the November 30, 2021 deadline, with the exception of the End of Life OSCE, will result in PCM4 Failure

1. Attendance of at least ONE Value-based Care discussion session is required. Students should select one of the eight discussion dates and sign up by November 2. See Sakai for details.  The discussions will be monitored for active participation. Failure to attend at least one Value-based Care discussion will result in failure of the course.

2. Completion of the End-of-Life OSCE with a Passing grade is required.

3. Completion of all modules and assignments is required.  Course administration will monitor the completion as well as the time needed to complete and address any concerning findings with students’ timing (e.g., time needed to complete modules compared to expected).

4. The Pain Quiz that corresponds with the Pain and Opioid Lecture must be passed at a score of 80%. There is no time limit for this assessment. Quizzes can be submitted 3 time(s). If multiple submissions are allowed, answers from previous attempts will not be available within the assessment during subsequent attempts. The highest score will be recorded. Failure of the quiz after 3 attempts will result in a consultation with Course Director for further remediation plan.

IMPORTANT: Students who do not successfully complete all of the assignments will receive a F course grade.  The F grade can be remediated by completing the missing assignment within a designated time period but can only be converted to a P* grade.  The P* grade is defined on the Stritch transcript key as a Remediated Pass. A single F grade not successfully remediated by a designated time period will result in an inability to graduate.
