Case Discussions
The case discussions are an excellent opportunity for you to gain a deeper understanding of the nuances of diagnosis and management of many of the common medical illnesses treated in Internal Medicine. These sessions will be led by faculty members. You are encouraged to prepare for these sessions by reviewing the associated references listed at the bottom of each case discussion document. The more prepared you are for the discussion, the more you will likely learn from it.
Off-site students will not attend these cases in person. Students should study the cases and answers independently.
The answers to these case discussions will be posted on Sakai for review at the end of the fourth and seventh weeks of each rotation.
Please give the lecturer 10 minutes and then page Dr. Edwards(Loyola) or Dr. Dayal(Hines) if they fail to show up.
