Sources of Funding
Loans
Individuals with a good credit history can take advantage of a wide variety of loans. Loan eligibility requirements vary; for example, interest rates, maximum loan amounts, application procedures, and repayment plans differ from loan to loan.
Scholarships
Many scholarships are available for students who meet certain criteria or are willing to provide needed medical services after graduation. The National Health Services Corporation, for instance, offers scholarships for students who are willing to complete at least two years of primary care service after graduation, while the Armed Forces will cover all costs for eligible students who agree to serve in the military after graduation. Special scholarships are available for students in extreme financial need.
