Molecular Biology Graduate Program
The Program in Molecular Biology was established in 1987 by a group of faculty with a common interest in molecular biology. In the last few years, the program has become one of the leading training programs at Loyola University Medical Center, and currently has over 25 faculty members and approximately 15 full-time graduate students.
An interdisciplinary program with a variety of research interests, the Program in Molecular Biology offers graduate students opportunities to pursue research in: molecular virology, eukaryotic gene transcription and expression, human cancer, molecular immunology, prokaryotic genetics, molecular cardiology, and eukaryotic genetics. Graduate studies lead to either a M.S. or Ph.D degree in Molecular Biology.
