EDWARD HINES Jr. VA HOSPITAL
Hines VA Hospital and Loyola are closely associated with active
interaction in all departments. One of the largest veterans'
hospitals in the nation, Hines has over 800 acute, intermediate,
and extended care beds. A modern hospital was built on the Hines
complex in 1970, and admissions number 22,000 yearly.
At Hines, radiology residents have the opportunity for an
elective in special procedures, computed tomography or vascular
ultrasound. Loyola residents spend approximately 3 months at Hines
during their four year residency.
