Francis P. Ruggiero, MD
Assistant Professor

After obtaining a degree in English from Stanford University and a master’s degree in biology from Temple University, Dr. Ruggiero went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

He performed an internship in the Department of Surgery at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania and a residency in the Division of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, also at Penn State.

He went on to complete a fellowship in Head and Neck and Cranial Base Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and later joined the faculty as an instructor. He then returned to Penn State as an assistant professor.

Dr. Ruggiero is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
