Grievance Procedures
Students and faculty are strongly encouraged to resolve
disagreements informally. If this is impossible, the
grievance should be presented to the Neuroscience Director
and Steering Committee. If they are unable to resolve the
dispute, a special ad hoc grievance committee whose
composition is acceptable to both sides of the dispute will
be formed to investigate the matter and make
recommendations. The committee will consist of three
Neuroscience faculty and two Neuroscience students. If
further appeal is sought from this committee's
recommendation, the matter will be referred to the Associate
Dean of the Graduate School at the Medical Center. The
Graduate School has an official Graduate School Grievance
Procedure described in the Graduate School's Student
Handbook.
