In the past year we have witnessed a great deal of activity in the Molecular Biology Program.  Research publications from Molecular Biology Program members reveal broad diversity and high quality, as our faculty and students have authored more than 100 original research papers and scientific reviews.  We recently welcomed new faculty members (Dr. Caroline Le Poole) and two new PhD students were enrolled into the Molecular Biology Program for the 2007-2008 academic year (Shuang Liang and Kinnari Mehta).  At the same time we have proudly watched as other students have graduated (Johnson Thomas, Jennifer Smith, Wenting Sun and Kepa Oyarbide-Valencia) while several more are planning on completing their degree program this coming year.  Our students who entered the program last year have recently selected laboratories for their thesis research:  Fareena Bilwani has joined Dr. Knight's lab, Gayathree Raman has joined Dr. Diaz's lab and Rohit Malik has joined Dr. Marchese's lab.
