Focus |
| My research focus is the study of
the innate cellular changes in both respiratory epithelium and cellular components of the
immune system which occur in mice during and following a natural infection with rodent
Sendai virus The specific project presently under investigation involves the potential
carcinogenicity of Sendai Virus Pilot data reveals that mice infected with Sendai virus,
then challenged with a known lung carcinogen (urethane) will show an increased incidence
of respiratory tumors Sendai virus appears to shorten anticipated latency period for such
tumor growth, with an increase in the size and malignancy of the tumors |
