Research Training in Trauma and Burn
Research (NIGMS)
This program…
- is
open to clinical residents in general surgery or other applicable
specialties, such as pediatrics, neonatology, surgical specialties,
and anesthesiology.
- and
also open to individuals who hold a recent Ph.D. degree
in a biomedical discipline.
- offers
basic scientist trainees exposure to the clinical problems
of burn and trauma.
- provides
competitive salary and benefits.
- begins July of each year, and includes two years of intensive laboratory research training.

Each
trainee can choose from several different NIH funded laboratories
for their fellowship. The scientific faculty and their research
interests include:
Program
requirements:
Fellowships are restricted to US citizens or permanent residents;
most fellows have completed at least two years of clinical
training prior to entrance. Applications from under-represented
minorities are strongly encouraged.
How
to apply to these training grants: Applicants should submit a current curriculum
vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a personal statement
that indicates their career objectives, by January 15 of each
