Why an online program in bioethics?
Bioethics is an innovative new field. Whether
you are a health care professional, lawyer, clergyperson, academic, or advanced student,
formal knowledge of bioethics is increasingly important. Similarly, health care
institutions in the U.S. and around the world need professionals who can analyze ethics
cases and policies, facilitate ethical decision-making, and effectively teach colleagues
and students.
To meet this need, the
Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy started in 2002 the
Online MA Program in Bioethics and Health Policy. The Online MA program builds on the success of the
traditional on-campus MA program in health care ethics offered by the Department of
Philosophy, Loyola University Chicago.
